Bonita and Bunni you guys rock!!  Thank you SO much for pitching in to help this gal -- each of you have brought special wisdom to this and both of you have taken extra time to type this out!!  THANK YOU.

I think in all of this we've all made it abundantly clear this is not a task for a novice, nor is it in any way creating backyard breeders.  You ladies are awesome.  (I'm not being sexist there -- but each of you is a grand lady in my estimation!!)

(as an aside--  I'm with Bunni -- I still think Giffen & Carlson's is the best book on my shelf for a LOT of things ha ha)

Hey, I want to thank everyone for responding to me.. I am about half way through right now and am still reasding. Lots if good info that I couldnt completely find in other places and I feel better knowing I have such knowlegable people to talk to about this! I am taking it all in and sorting out. The pool idea is a great idea!! I will do that one. Then when the puppies are a little older, still before going to new homes, I can put a little water in it and let them play in the water when its hot out too. They will have fun with that.

I was hopeing for some chatting on that page of Feora's with the people wanting puppies. I would like to see how they interact with people because someone who is who angers easy and not kind to people, I would be affraid to be that way with a puppy too. But I so far cant get them to talk. Maybe once pups are born or something I guess. I realy want to get a good feel of the people who want a puppy.

I am going to go to our buyers guide and pick up papers. They are just ads, not really news and they give them out for free, so Ill be able to pick up a lot of them.

I have a bunch of clothes that we dont wear. So Im gonna cut 'puppy squares'  and for a week or two let the puppies play and sleep with them and then send them home with each pup so that they have home scent with them to help the transformation not be so stressful. Maybe a little toy too if I can.

I want to work with them with the car before they go because some I think will have a big ride home and if they already know about the car, that will help them. I am going to read through more of the puppy training as well that has been posted and start potty training too. I want do leash stuff with them as well and anything else. The more they know before they go and the less they stress, the better their chances are with working out in their new homes.

I also want to use the page if I could to keep in touch so that if their are problems, well, I dont want my pups going to any pound. I have even thought about giving each a tattoo in the ear (I used to show rabbits) so that I could identify them as Feora's puppy should I see one needing help somewhere and am left wondering if it could be. I also want to have a puppy party when they are 8 weeks old for new owners to come pick them up and enjoy and get to know one another a little bit. Maybe kind of get the puppy parents to stay in contact. And then once in a while come up with play dates to get together again too. I dont know if they will.... but it would be nice if they would.

I am still reading and I want to say thank you to ALL of you!!!!!!! From Feora too!!!!

Maybe if some of you talk on Feora's page too sometimes and say that we had met on this page, maybe if the new puppy parents know how nice everyone is here, they might be apart of it and it would be easier to keep track and to know how things are going with them. It would be cool to know whats going on with them... Thanks again... Stef

Okay, so awsome, awsome, couldnt get better if I paid for it!! These are the answers Ive been looking for!! I got strait up (even though its in the night) put everyone in the car and went to get the pool and a few other things and literally held onto the pool, over the car with our hands out the window..

I have now been awarded the mom going crazy over the puppies award. I was to affraid of not having one big enouph and then got home and realized, wow, its way big, maybe to big? I have to keep it in the front room till I can move things around in another room. I put it sort of under the piano as well as I could as thats her chosen spot to lay down and put paper in it and showed her to get in. She now thinks I have lost it completly.. LOL..

So I went out side and got her bed which is one of my old saddle blankets thats heavy and the only thing Ive given her to sleep on that she doesnt tear to shreds. I put it in and had her check it out. Now her tail wagged a bit and she got out and is now laying next to it on the floor sleeping..

Still nervis but I feel a little better with this. I dont feel so alone and now I think it will be okay. Ive got good people helping me.

When I go back to work Im going to copy this thread on the copy mac and make my own personal book of it. Thankyou again!!
