    A tough dog shampoo

Do you guys know of any shampoos maybe that I can order online that are really clean well and degrease the dog.  But, that smell nice not like a medicated shampoo.

    Thanks!

I like the Cloudstar Buddy Wash - all natural with an herby scent.  Plus the bottle lasts forever! :)

At the shelter, we used to degrease the dog with dishwashing detergent first (Dawn is my choice, esp since they have a variety of scents now), then follow up with a regular shampoo and bath.  The reco actually came from a groomer, who came in to help w/the dogs.

Just the other night I saw that dog.com had a degreaser on clearance, but no idea if it's stinky. lol  http://www.dog.com/item/therapet-professional-degreaser/191044/

Thanks!  I really like the Dawn idea.  Buddy wash isn't strong enough for her but thank you and I do like that product it's just not good for her.

Ah that's what I get for not knowing what degreaser is lol.  What does it do and how do you know if your dog needs it?

Try Tropiclean Neem, or Nature's Specialties Quick Relief Neem. The neem and citrus oils in both are a natural grease remover. I use them (either or) on once a year Cockers, and get them spotless. Let it sit on her for a few minutes, and she'll smell good for two weeks! The Tropiclean has a citrussy scent, and the Nature's Specialties is pepperminty. And of course, with Willow and anybody that has issues, make sure the oils are safe for her before you use it. I know that YOU know that, but somebody else might now.

Oh, you'll know!!  Willow has seborrhea really, really bad.  And, nothing seems to get her clean. It's difficult to begin with with how much coat and undercoat she has.  And, double bathing with Selsun Blue works for a short time.  But, she doesn't smell clean, she smells mediciney.  And, spritz and colognes and stuff like that build up on her coat and I"m back to square one again.  Plus, I prefer not to spray anything on her if I can avoid it.

I'm going to try that Tropiclean Jennie.  I've seen it in the stores around here.

    THANKS

I've used Tropiclean on Fergie and the scent lasts a long time.  Got all the gook out of the Yorkie beard...

I got the Tropiclean.  I couldn't find the exact one Jennie mentioned.  But, I got Deep Cleansing.  And, it smells great, like raspberry.  I'm looking forward to trying it.  Willow is not, LOL!  I'll let everyone know how it works.

If it's not strong enough, I've heard nothing BUT good about Kelco Filthy Animal, but it's something you'd have to order.

    Thanks Jennie.

lol jennie, i was coming on here to post that i have been using Kelco Wild Animal for awhile now, and i absolutely love it. it gets even the most disgusting dogs clean.

Also, Double K's Grimenator is AMAZING stuff. the only reason i havent ordered that and other double k products and went with Kelco instead is b/c there is a local Kelco distributer near me and i save a lot of money getting it through them.
