BEVOLASVEGAS
I'm sure that it's happened to the best of us....
a hearty endorsement if ever there was one?? (I ducked -- you may have swatted me, but I DUCKED it Amanda -- quacked you right up??)
BEVOLASVEGAS
If it hasn't happened in the past 20-30 minutes, then I'd just watch him & possibly feed him a few slices of bread to hopefully coat it while it passes. If it just happened, I'd induce vomitting in hopes of recovering it that way.
Absolutely on both counts (to induce vomiting -- a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide orally -- repeat if no results in 10-15 minutes)
BEVOLASVEGAS
Just watch for blockage signs
Depending on where the blockage occurs -- if food backs up to the stomach then they'll begin to vomit because if food can't pass from the stomach the stomach acid just keeps pouring in. However -- they will also STOP pooping once they've passed all the fecal matter between the blockage and the anus. So within 12 - 24 hours you'll see them stop pooping and start vomiting -- which happens first depends on where the blockage is.
BEVOLASVEGAS
, but in my experience it passed.
Ahhh -- so many things I could say ... but ... as much as I'd love to let that one glow on it's own, Amanda. *grin* Have any of us ever thot about the stories the dogs tell each other?? Boy will THAT one be popular!! On the day they tell the "Man -- what's the BEST thing you ever did to embarass your humans???"
