Unfortunately, I'm not just being cute.
Here's the story. Emma, Ena, and I went to a four day dog show over the weekend. We were gone Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Jewel stayed with my Mom. We stayed in a friend's travel trailer. She brought three of her youngest dogs. It was their first trip away, thier schedule was completely off, and they were getting a lot more treats than usual. They all got upset stomachs, and we attributed it to stress tummy.
Now, it's spreading. Oh, joy. Emma had loose stools, this morning. No big deal, she does that sometimes. This afternoon, Ena Bean had a gooey stool. Again, no big deal. This evening, after obedience class, Jewel (who is recovering from a bruised leg, that she got playing too rough) had disturbing diahrrea on my very wonderful Coach coat. This was in my car, so I'm glad it didn't hit the upholstry, but I certainly hope it comes out of my khaki coat. My friend's dogs are also falling like flies, so... we have a bug. It hasn't affected anyone seriously enough to warrant a vet visit, yet, though we both have seniors and she has young puppies.
I gave everybody tripe, for dinner, and Jewel got some pectin. Of course, pushing fluids. If I need something stronger for Jewel, anybody know whether Immodium is ok for sighthounds? The IG club only lists barbituates as an issue. I wouldn't give it to Emma without calling the vet, of course, with her being on medications, already. Jewel is basically healthy, just has diahrrea, LOL.
