DVM Hylyt Products, Could This Be True

I'm in need of shampoo and bath oil for Mr. Nemo.  I asked my sister to stop by PetSmart to pick some up.  They didn't have any in stock so I started looking online.  I've not been able to find it at any of the places I normally shop so when I went to my vet's linked online store to reorder Heartguard I noticed that they showed the cream rinse as being in stock.  I called to ask if they also had the shampoo and bath oil.  This is what the lady told me.....

DVM is not currently producing Hylyt products because they are unable to get the ingredients to make them...

Could that possibly be true and if it is, what the heck does that mean?

Except for one shampooing which I tried a whitening shampoo, I've always used Hylyt.   The whitening shampoo made his skin red and ugly.  I'm not looking forward to having to try something new.

I guess I'm looking for a new shampoo.  Any suggestions.

DVM Pharmaceuticals isn't producing anything right now.  The FDA shut them down, because of some quality control issues.  (They make other products as well as shampoos, & their pill counts were off.  They were claiming that there were 250 capsules in a bottle, but there were actually more like 210 in there.  There wasn't actually anything wrong with their products per se, but they were ripping the consumer off.)

I've had good luck with the Douxo lines of shampoos, as well as VET Solutions Aloe & Oatmeal Shampoo.

If your vet purchases through Butler Animal Health, I suspect that they have developed a generic label shampoo that is very similar.  We were using 3V caps, now we are using Butler labeled Tri V caps instead.  It's the same ingredients, but made by a different company.
