    Vaccines

Hey guys, I just recently got a new pup (yellow lab) and I've been having a a hard time figuring out what to get him vaccinated for. I've been doing my research and would like to share it with everyone. It was extraordinary helpful for me, and hopefully will be for you as well.

Man’s best friend is just as susceptible to disease and illness as man. With new strains of viruses developing everyday, it’s imperative to make sure our canine friends remain strong and healthy. Veterinary clinics do the best they can to provide quality veterinary services (LINK REMOVED BY MOD) to maintain your dog’s health.

It is vital for your pet to get the recommended vaccines at an early age to protect against illness. Along with some of the necessary vaccines, it is wise to think about other factors that play into your dog’s lifestyle. Aspects like where your pup lives, if your canine is sent to the kennel often and who your dog hangs out with will have you considering the Lyme Disease and leptospirosis vaccinations. If your dog is elderly or has a preexisting health condition your furry friend may be at risk for other diseases that he might want to be inoculated for.

Before making any quick decisions, it is always important to talk to your professional veterinarian (LINK REMOVED BY MOD). Developing a relationship with your veterinarian will ensure that questions are answered and your pet lives a healthy life.

Not sure if there is a question here or not.

I follow the recommendations of Dr. Jean Dodd.  I give ONLY parvo and distemper, never past the first year, and rabies only as required by law.  Every time I have titers checked, my dogs are fine on everything.

EDIT after getting your link to open.  NEVER would I subject any dog to those nasty combo shots and I think that any vet that suggests them needs to go back to school.
