    We're very lucky to have access to a vet teaching hospital; I love our regular vet but he doesn't offer the option of using inhaled steroids.

    Yeah..you know thats a problem. We have our Ohio State Vet School..but I am in contact with a fellow that goes to school to be a vet there, we were talking about Bubblegum when she got sick before she died... its not that easy to take your dog there especially if you don't live close.  Its a couple of hours away for us.

    Give Jessie a whole bundle of hugs from me and high paws from the gang.

      Hugs delivered; thanks so much!!

     And they're only open half a day on Saturday, so unless you can take off some time from work it makes it difficult. You did so much for her that I don't know if going to Ohio State would have made a difference;{{{{{hugs}}}}}

    Thank you Janice for saying that...  when things don't work out and you loose your baby...you regret every move you made.

    I think, more than taking a day off to get there isn't so much of a problem as to keep going back for care. I left Bubby at ER for two nights... I felt so bad...she was afraid of men.... we went and stayed with her as much as we could.

      Megaesophagus is a horrible disease; I hope you never have to deal with something so cruel again.

      I thought that the Flovent would cost about a hundred dollars a month but it will only cost about 60. Target had the best price around here, even beating WalMart. It was $225 and will last 4 months. So, a lot better than I expected.Big Smile

    That's awesome that you can get her meds at Target!  I love when I can use a people pharmacy it's always cheaper than getting it from the vets office.  I hope Jessie is feeling great!!
