Early Spay vs Growth

Hmmmm, Interesting. I have heard the old spaying makes a dog get fat but never bigger!   My pups go to thier new homes with a contract that is clear, no alterations before a girl's first season or the boy is 15-18 months. I want them to have a chance to fully develop and I believe they need the hormones or testosterone to do it. A male nuetered early will have an under developed chest and brisket. giving him a feminine look. A girl who never has a first season is far more prone to leaking etc.  This is ancedoatal based on my line only so if it does not hold true for your pets please undersatnd I am not arguing just offering an opinion.

All similar to the things I have seen and heard in my own breed.  Those spayed/neutered ealy in my breed typically had taller, weedier growth and they don't achieve the bone that that their intact siblings get.  There are few exceptions.  Some of the mals who are neutered young are hard to ID as males unless you look.  I went to Dr Hutchinson's repro lecture which was fascinating and he too talked about early spay/neuter as a problem in large breeds because they lack the hormonal influence to stop the growth where it should.
