Sick puppies

Isn't it considered animal cruelty not giving your dogs adequate medical treatment? These pups are in your home, and in your care, the least you could do is give them medical care.

It's called NEGLECT

Any update on these puppies? 

My puppy died. And trust me as an animal lover I wouldn't 'neglect' them on purpose. I'm only 13 and I don't get an allowance so I can't take them by myself. After the last litter died we thought it was becuase she had them under the house and it might have something to do with that. So we were gunna get her fixed after this litter.

I'm sorry the pup died.  PLEASE talk to your parents about taking the rest of them to a shelter where they can get proper care.

I'm glad you're getting Ginger spayed.  Please talk to your parents about saving the life of her remaining pups by taking them to the shelter as well.  Tell them that it is WRONG to keep these pups when they can't afford vet care and vaccines.

 I'm sorry to hear your puppy died. We didn't know you were only 13 and that your parents were the ones who pay the vet bills. Is there an animal shelter or rescue organization nearby? You could take the other sick puppies there and surrender them and they would give the pups the care they need. Also, as someone said earlier, many vets will work out a payment plan so you can get the pups the care they need and make payments on the bill. If the other pups are still throwing up and having bloody diarrhea it is likely that they will die too without veterinary care. Have you discussed the idea of asking the vet about making payments with your parents? If they're not willing to do that, then please talk to them about taking the pups to the local animal shelter where they can get the care they need. Again, I'm very sorry that your puppy died. I had a puppy when I was your age and it got bloody diarrhea but my mother didn't drive and my father wasn't able to take it to the vet until Saturday. The puppy died in my arms on the way to the vet, so I truly understand your heartache. Please let us know what happens to the rest of the puppies.

Sorry to hear about your pup...I knew you were a young lady as I looked at your profile...although your myspace site says your 16. I understand why you can't which is why in my last post I wrote to you about programs that are available. It's great that you will be getting Ginger spayed. It will be much better for her health.
 
Keep us posted on how you make out. This is a great place to learn about dogs, care, behavior and lots of fun stuff that isn't always dog related. We have some younger members here too who also show their dogs you might enjoy talking with as well.

I know we were a little harsh with you but I want to tell you also, that I am (as we all are here at dog.com) very sorry that your pup died. Thats so sad, and of course I'm sure you were worried that it would die and that is why you posted to begin with.  We feel so bad for you and your puppy.  But we also worry for the rest of them. Glad you will be getting their mama taken care of...but as the others said above, that you need to get the others taken care of also, even if it means to take them to someone else, such as an animal shelter.   Another idea is that a few months ago there was a young man that posted here that had a sick dog and no money to take care of it. He went to his vet and offered to work there to pay the vet off. I can't remember what happened in the end, but that was a great idea.  Maybe you can do somethink like that,, knowing you love your dog so much, you would probably LOVE being there.
And as someone mentioned, this website has so much for you to learn about taking care of dogs,,I know I learned a lot here!

Oh, My myspace says I'm 16 because you can't put your real age unless your 14 or over so I just put 16. The puppies are doing better. The other sick one was the brown one. He  used the bathroom and worms came out after we gave him worm medicine. Then we gave it to all the other puppies just in case. But they all seem ok. And yea. The harshness wasn't soo bad. It made me cry though. []
