Heartworm treatment

• sandra_slayton Posted : 4/5/2006 2:01:20 PM Actually I have never blamed my vet at all.  He believed what he was told by the saleman.  When it first came out Fort Dodge said it was safe for HW positive dogs.  But that soon appeardd wrong.  http://www.dogsadversereactions.com]www.dogsadversereactions.com[/link]) And that was the very day my Hunter got his fatal injection .    We live in a small town of 9400 and my vet is a kid of 43 and is the best vet I have ever had.  He is known for saving "unsavalbe dogs" including the states top arson sniffing dog.  He has dogs come in from counties on either side of ours.    I was allowed to visit Hunter any time, and I went 3 times a day and stayed up to an hour.   I was allowed to take him outside (had to carry his IV as he was on round the cock IV) and spend time petting and hugging and brush him. My vet was always so busy he really didn't have time to talk much about Hunter, but would call me at home at night to discuss treaments, etc.   AS the bills were mounting up --2 transfusions of 2 units each, tremendous amount of meds, tests, etc--I was worried about the bill and he told me I was not to worry at all.  he knew we would pay as he would and he was not worried about it at all.   Also, as a side thought, my doctor believed how great Vioxx was and put me on it.  We know better now, don't we.  Luckily, i had no problems from it.   It is actually tahe drug companies that I don't trust and don't believe.  I dont' care what they say, they are not out to help people as much as to get their stock holders $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
