Red & Swollen Toes

• Red & Swollen Toes KriziaHB Posted : 4/27/2015 12:26:51 PM My Bichon Frise has two red & swollen toes. He licks them constantly. I noticed it yesterday but he tends to lick a lot so I thought nothing of it. Today they are swollen, but he doesn't seem to be in pain when I touch them. What should I do? Is there anything I can do at home? Something like this needs to be seen as it could be a number of things. So in order to treat it correctly I would seek vet attention. • calliecritturs Posted : 5/5/2015 9:46:18 AM Absolutely do *not* just do something at home.  This could be many things, but the vet needs to determine.  Typically if it's allergies they lick the whole foot, not just certain toes.  Redness indicates inflammation -- it could honestly be anything from a  split toe-nail that is difficult to see or something more incidious.   0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
