However, his skin has actually gotten worse since those pictures, and I'm not sure the Benadryl is helping as much as it was. So I'm exploring other options. Fortunately I have milk thistle on hand - hopefully enough to get him through this. But I will definitely keep in mind to buy it in bulk for the future.

I'm not surprised -- Revolution does *not* work well at all on sarcops.  You may need to use ivermectin -- he's not a herder is he?

Almost NOTHING kills the itch from sarcops.  It literally can make an animal insane -- they say there is nothing in the world that itches like sarcoptic mange.  When the mites bite they inject a toxin that causes the itch, and one of the tests FOR sarcops is "does Benedryl help"?  Because it usually doesn't.

There's the old organophosphate Paramite Dip -- Lyme Dip is safer and less toxic, but Paramite *will* work and it's cheap.  (Usually places like Tractor Supply carry it -- call around before you run your legs off - not everywhere carries it.)

You know you and your family can be bitten by sarcops?  They won't breed in your skin but they WILL bite you.  To a HUGE degree you want to limit the fabric/carpeting, etc. he is on.   Sarcoptic mites can't live without a host very long, but they can live long enough to attack everyone else

You also need to be boosting his immune system -- that, bottom line, is what makes him so very attractive to the sarcops.
