    I have left it alone for now. It's not bothering him and no eye goo so I will just wait and see what happens.

    Can anyone tell me what the name is of the color of coat is that he has? His undercoat and hair is almost fawn in color but the tips are black flame speckled tips. I don't think I have ever really seen a dog with a coat like Rummys.

    I'll prolly get shot down on this but I believe that in Paps that coloring is called "sable".  So I'd prolly call his coloring fawn sable.

    Sable sounds about right, very shaggy sable. from what I have gathered from his record when he was surrendered to the shelter, his mom was a Lab/poodle but the dad is a guess. I see really strong GSD in him sometimes. He sure seems to demonstrated the habits of one. When he's older I think I may post some guess his breed pictures.

     I have never trimmed Grimm's face, and he has a pretty shaggy muzzle. He's never had an issue seeing (if one is to judge from his ability to spot a crumb a block away) nor has he ever had eye goop or hair poking in his eyes.  He's 3 now.
