given that you are in the midst of teething and this IS a bully breed, you will need to be watchful for demodex. It has a smell that is similar -- always starts on the face (looks like little dandruffy patches and then becomes sore -- sometimes red and 'wet', sometimes scabby)
If you've never experienced demodex you may want the vet to look at it. I've got a way of treating demodex that avoids pesticides and dips -- email me if you want my information. I'm no vet but I've helped hundreds and hundreds of folks with demodex dogs.
If it is simply yeast you can always bathe in Selsun Blue (don't leave it on a long time and dilute it before you put it on the skin so it doesn't just not dissolve) but it is honestly really good for yeasty skin.
