got a call from Dr. B (regular vet) this morning -- the pathology came back from the little "spot" (that the holistic and the regular vets thot looked like a melanoma).  The tissue was NOTHING.

Alright....I just sat back down cause I was up doing the happy dance for Billy!!!  This is literally the best news I could have read today!!! Totally just made my day!

I'm so glad he's recovering from surgery so well...he's a real trooper, that's forsure!

How's he doing today (or lately)?

Lots of hugs, thoughts and prayers!

He continues to do really well -- You wouldn't even know he was "recouperating".  A couple more days and I can take the stitches out of the little place where they removed the spot.  RAH!

I am so happy that Baby Boy Billy is recouperating so well. Yay!!! He is probably saying. "What is all the fuss about"? ... but is just soaking up all the attention. Good for you Billy.

Callie-since it wasn't blocked and that would be major immediate emergency-couldn't they have xrayed this, seen object and let it pass.

Also, melanoma is black-not red(-hemogen...is just blood vessels come together-nothing to worry about)

I guess you love your vet but dx of melanoma on a red spot makes no sense.

I love your housebreaking posts, thanks so much

We found it ON an x-ray and yes it **was** blocked (that's why he threw up the entirety of what he'd eaten the night before -- **nothing** was getting thru the obstruction at all.  It was already patently obvious that only the thinnest of liquids was getting thru and it was *not* going to move.  The **only** reason we waited was because I wanted Dr. Bailey to do the surgery.  He is an incredible surgeon .... and ... given Billy's massive medical history of IMHA, I had to make sure this was done absolutely the best way possible with a vet who was completely aware of his incredibly complicated medical history.

Actually I had FOUR vets all agree that this itty bitty spot looked **very** like a melanoma beginning.  It did turn out to *be* a hemogen, but it was an extremely suspicious little spot that had all 4 vets (from 3 different practices) completely concerned.

You actually don't have to download it -- you can simply go there and look anything up you want to -- they have a great search feature.
