How does your dog act around cats?

Ummm... before or after they have been executed?

Just kidding, neither of my dogs have ever gotten a hold of a cat, though there have been close calls.  Once in the back yard when I let them out without looking and there was a cat out there.  Luckily Leave It is a default behavior.  Once IN my house when a neighbors cat snuck in through a hole in my wall behind my dryer.  That was interesting.  Stupid cat didn't wait for the dogs to be put to bed and wandered into the living room where two sleeping dogs were laying at my feet.  Ya...chaos...

So in essence, not so good.  We don't bother trying so much because I don't like cats myself and I detest cats in my yard.  Leash laws are not just for dogs.  I am not above letting my dogs out into the yard on purpose if I see a cat peeing on my kids toys.

I tend to bring in a lot of foster kitties. So they are comming and going all the time. Max dosen't even bat an eye.
There are also quite a few strays around here. He likes to chase the strays, but any indoor cat dosen't bother him in the least =)

The cats like to play with his ears and his tail - still he ignores them.

The stray's normally pop into our yard around midnight. Sam turns form a silly little goof, into a vicous cat-eating beast! And Taz, who sleeps in the mud room by the back door, the proceeded to pretend he's a Rottie.

On the rare ocasion that one of the kitties walk into the yard while the dogs are out, Sam thinks he's gonna eat them thru the fence. And Taz will stay about 3 feet from the fence and bark like a big dog, with his tail between his legs. Stick out tongue

Maze was raised with cats so she knows what all the signals mean. She'll chase a cat if it runs but she won't hurt it. She just wants to play. When I'm out walking Maze and Kameo is out, he'll football tackle her and then continue running. Maze is 40lbs, Kameo is about 10lbs so it's interesting to see this happen. Lol

All my dogs will be raised with cats so it won't be a problem.
