Just seeing this and wanted to add my deepest sympathy. Run free Legend.

It sounds as if Legend was a breed ambassador extraordinaire. Hugs to you guys blessings on Legend for he is at peace at the Bridge. I know it hurts something fierce for him to be gone from you this way but he still exists and I have no doubt that he is relieved that his suffering is over and loves you just as much, now. It is the hardest and bravest thing to do when it is time to let go.

My belated sympathies to you and your household (people and animals!) on the loss of your handsome boy.  Having had to make the same decision for our boy nearly 3 years ago, I know that heartache well.  It's the hardest thing to decide what's the "right time."  How do we know when they don't want to go on with a certain level of pain, discomfort, or change in their abilities?  So often I longed for the ability to speak the same language so we could ask, "Have you had enough?  How can we help you?"  In the end, we have to use our best judgment, do what we think is best for them and hope our hearts can survive it.  Legend was clearly a beloved member of your family, and I'm sure he's watching over you as you adjust to his absence.  Take care.

Just saw this..... I am so sorry to hear of Legend's passing.  A very difficult time for you all.

I could not of  said it  better.  We helped Shadow cross the Bridge last year, very difficult decision but his quality of life was so bad.

 It's never easy to lose a good friend...I hope that Legend is running happily in the meadow by the Rainbow Bridge, meeting the other idog members of the welcoming committee.  I know he'll be safe with them till you meet again.

 I'm just coming to this thread. I'm so sorry for the loss of Legend. I remember the first seeing his pictures on idog and thinking wow, now there's a chow! He certainly had a long life and I'm sure he was very loved. *hugs*
