Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

     Sorry about your grandpa.  It's sad when we lose them, but so gratifying that he had a long lifespan and so many years to spend with you.

     Thank you all.

    He was born in 1918 and grew up working a farm and farmed into his 80's.  His wife, my grandma, passed away last year and he is survived by over 20 grandchildren and over 30 great grandchildren, including 7 of his 8 children.  One of his daughters, my aunt Sheri, passed away in 2007 from cancer.
