Run free, Luger

sambob lost her puppy Luger yesterday. She's devastated and needs our comfort and support. She said he died of distemper despite having his vaccines. She only had him three weeks but he was her constant companion. I offered to put a thread here for her as she wasn't sure where to post and we all know how hard it can be.

That is so heartbreaking - i think sometimes it's worse to lose a pup............my heart grieves for you. Run free sweet Luger...........

Distemper is such a vile disease -- and often I think it's even worse than parvo because when they do survive often there is SUCH a cost neurally.

Luger -- there's a big old boxer/pit mix named Miss Socks up there in that Meadow and she's got a ball and I betcha she'd play with you. She had way too many puppies here on this earth before she lived with me but no dog ever liked puppies more than she did. And if it's as much "heaven" as I'm told, then black licorice MUST grow up there and she's gonna know where it is!! ALL wonderful things are there.

sambob - I wish we could somehow make it easier for you -- but please feel all the hugs and love sent your way.

He was sure loved and for the moments he was on this earth he was given the very best any pup could ask for. Run free little Luger! (((sambob)))
