It's been a crazy week. Jess came home (yay). Gobie's cough seemed to be worsening so as you know I took him in for the xray and found the cancerous spleen and enlarged heart.
Couple days ago his cough went from infrequent to far too frequent. Night before last and last night he got so he couldn't stop coughing. He was clearly miserable.
You know, "they" say you know when it's time because the look in the dog's eyes tells you. It happened last night.
So we sent him on his way, he was not afraid, but very calm. Since we are "back home" we were able to take him out to the farm which has been in the family for years. He's buried next to other family dogs and cats and goats. My dad came out and helped Jess dig a grave.
Wow, it has hit me hard and I am full of sorrow but he is no longer hurting. I expect his is busily peeing up a storm at the bridge. :)
Goodbye my sweet minpin terror.
My teacher, my friend, Good dog.
