I'm thankful to be reading this at home rather than at my office.
It doesn't matter if you "knew" her for only 5 minutes -- that would be enough to mourn for her -- not just for the loss, but for the thought of the horrible life she had to endure at the hands of cruel, cold-hearted people (actually, "monsters" would be a more appropriate term). Whether you consider yourself an angel or not, you can be sure that she considers you one. Because of you, she was able to experience kind voices, gentle hands, and genuine affection as she died. It sounds like she still had a trusting spirit despite what she'd been through. My boy Tonka will be looking for her at the Bridge, along with all the other dogs mentioned in this thread. She'll have many friends to make sure she has nothing but positive energy around her now. Thank you for helping her.
Run free, sweetheart. You're in the hearts of so many right now.
