Toby

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    Toby

Toby was my childhood dog. He's 16, and he's going to the Bridge, tomorrow. Good thoughts for Mom, please. He's mostly her dog, and this'll be hard, for her.

Oh, Toby. I'll be thinking of him tomorrow.
    • Gold Top Dog

I was poking around for a picture, but I don't have one on my photo account. I'll upload some, later. Toby's a big, fat, Corgi-type mutt. He's very adorableBig Smile He's lived long, and been ridiculously loved.

We'll be thinking of Toby tomorrow and wishing him godspeed to the best, greenest meadow by the Bridge.

    • Gold Top Dog

Toby and your Mom will be in my thoughts tomorrow.

    Run free, Toby.

    • Gold Top Dog

You and your Mom will be in my thoughts.  Run free, Toby.

Thoughts to your Mom and Toby as he makes his final transition today.  (((gentle hugs)))

    • Gold Top Dog

You, your mom & Toby are in my thoughts.  Run free, Toby!!

    • Gold Top Dog

Your Mom and Toby are in my thoughts as I read this.  Run free Toby there is a beautiful shady spot to rest over the bridge.

    • Gold Top Dog

Run free, sweet Toby. ((hugs)) to you and your mom.

Feisty to the end, he bit the vet, LOL. She wasn't even touching him! Rotten boy.

There's a picture, for you, of him snuggling baby Emma. It's a few years old, but you can see how handsome he was.

    • Gold Top Dog

    Oh, he was a cutie!

    Run Free, Toby.

    • Gold Top Dog

I love a dog that doesn't change personalities!  My Dancer rested her head on the vet's arm, ever the therapy dog.  But, Toby WAS feisty, and gave you a memory of his personality to remember him by...  hope the vet is ok, though:-)  Run free, Toby cutie.

The vet was fineBig Smile He never really cared for being poked and prodded, and having his feet handled was his LEAST favorite. Mom's still having a rough time, seeing the empty spots. She doesn't have any other pets (just my dogs, her "grand"dogs, and they're not around all that much), and all the kids are grown up. She fell, at work, a couple of years ago, and became disabled, so this is hard, for her....
