Sioux's Real Brother is at the Bridge

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

Sioux's Real Brother is at the Bridge

Siuux came from a large litter, but I only ever met one of them, and now he's gone.  I feel so badly for his dad, who loved him every bit as much as I love Sioux.  Please, will you all say a little prayer for my sweet girl's real brother, Lakota, a red merle boy who didn't deserve get cancer and die so soon.  I think that Lakota is the reason that Sioux liked her red merle sis.  Her coat must have looked familiar...Lakota and Sioux used to play and play when they were tiny.

Ahh ... that pack beyond Rainbow Bridge just gets more and more 'rich'.  Such a shame that such a young dog had to suffer cancer.  And my sympathies to the guardian as well.  It's such a nasty disease and leaves such a big 'hole'.

Herd to your heart's content Lakota.  That little sheltie/corgi mix tagging behind Dancer is my Foxy the MOstlie Sheltie.

    Run free, Lakota.

So sad.  Runnnnnn free, Lakota!  It's given that his dad is in my heart.  Please pass on my sadness to him.

This is such sad news, loosing a precious furr baby is hard enough but to loose them young and to watch them fade away to cancer is so hard.  Our prayers are with Lakota's Dad.  Run free with no pain now Lakota!  Go find Shadow and tell him his Mommy and Daddy miss him.  He will be playing with Souix, Foxy, Mike and all the others in the Welcoming committee at the Bridge.

I'm so sorry to hear about Sioux's brother.  It seems I hear more and more cases of people losing their dogs way too young due to cancer.  It's so unfair.  I hope there's a little comfort knowing he'll have some very good company where he is now.  Run free Lakota!

    Run free, Lakota.

I'm sorry to hear of the family's loss and thank you, Spiritdogs, and thank the family, for allowing us to share the grief and a chance to say "so long, for now."
