Everyone at work knows that I am a nut about dogs. I chat with everyone about their dogs, including an older guy who left here to work elsewhere a few months ago. Today he came to visit me and to let me know that he had to let his sweet Abbie go yesterday. She was an 11 year old collie and has had quite a few neurological problems. Over the weekend she lost control of her back legs, became incontinent and starting holding her head to the side.
My friend is devastated and mourning her. I believe that he came in to tell me because he knew I would understand how sad he is. As we know, some non dog people just don't get it like we do.
So please say a prayer for Abbie and her Dad who loved her enough to let her go play at the bridge.
