Abby Doodles

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    Abby Doodles

Abby was a friend's dog I used to watch when she went out of town.  She crossed the Bridge last week.  She was a Lhasa & a gentle old lady.  Run free sweet girl!

Yep, it's those dark, short days of fall/winter that make it so difficult for our geriatric friends.  but I'll bet she has all sorts of buddies waiting fur her at that Meadow.  Thank you so much for sharing her with us!

Run free sweet Abby... run like a young girl again!

Callie, thank you for responding.  The poor thing was just plain worn out.  The above picture was from better days.  She loved coming over to my house & flirting with my male fosters.  She was so cute.  You could hear her saying "hey there young whipper snapper.  You sure are handsome."  Her little tail would wag a mile a minute & she seemed young again.

Oh, so sorry, Annie.  We had a Lhasa in our family for 14 years.  My uncles dog, Snickers--went everywhere with him.  A very nice dog also, I hope Abby can find him.

Run free, Abby.  You deserve it.

Snickers = boy dog?  I'm thinking that she'll be looking for all the boys @ the Bridge.  She loved her boys.  Yeah, she was a hussy. :o)  Cute girl but a hussy just the same.

    • Gold Top Dog

    Annie, she was a cutie.

    Run free, Abby.

Abby, you hussy! ;) I'm sure they'll be plenty of boys to flirt with at the bridge.

Oh, if Abby was a hussy, then I'll ask our Tonka to look for her.  He loved girl dogs, and he was especially fond of small adorable ones!  He has quite a harem of doggy angels with him, so Abby might have to share, but he's so big that there's lots of him to go around!

    I'm sorry for your friend's loss - she was a cutie-pie.

Paradise   If Abby was a hussy, then I'm sooooo sure she has met up with Rambette.  And, I wouldn't be surprised if Rambo was tagging along after both of them...I really think that the older dogs have more fun sooner when they get there.  The wisdom of age, and all... anyway, run free Abby - I can see that you were a much-loved dog and that you will meet up with your humans again someday.
