MY BELOVED DOGS

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    MY BELOVED DOGS

    I'll never forget the dogs who have crossed over. You brought so much happiness to us. We'll all be together some day. Run free with the wind my beloved ones;

    Smokey and Duchess, my childhood dogs, both purebred boxers

    Gite and Gidget , my poodles and the first dogs I could call my own as a young adult after college.

    Jessie & Bear - we loved you both so much

    Muffin - a wonderful friend & so smart too, you're always in my heart.

    Tara - taken too soon, we know you are out of pain & we will never forget the short time we had with beautiful you.

    Ranger- my husband's loyal friend, a german shepherd with so much insight.

    Shawnee - you made us laugh and we still talk about your exploits! My son's favorite. May you be free from pain & run like the wind with all my other loves.

    Frankie - couldn't forget adorable Frankie. We had him for 14 (almost 15) wonderful years. An independent spirit who was so happy with his dog pal, Goldie.

    The wonderful dogs you had--I know how much they are missed.  They are missed, but never absent from our hearts--they will always be a part of us, making us better for having loved them and having been loved by them.  Each so different, and yet so especially wonderful.  They all run free and remember and tell wonderful stories of the time spent with their special family.
