Daisy is gone :'( (thedoc617)

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    Daisy is gone :'( (thedoc617)

    Hi Everybody,

I have been absent from the forms for a long while due to college and classwork, and other things. I miss everybody though. (things as far as school are going good.) Daisy on the other hand is not.

She passed away on January 22nd (this past Tuesday) from what we think was a blood clot/stroke in her brain. She was neurologically damaged since about 3 weeks ago, I thought she got into something medicinally, since she was acting really weird (bloodshot eyes, dialated pupils and pacing nonstop around the house) the vet said it would pass and she'd be fine.
    She was up until now.

My boyfriend had her in the bathtub (i was back at school, he was watching her because she hurt her shoulder at the dog park, and we didn't want Oscar and Levi to agrevate it), he bathed her because she went to the bathroom on herself, and he went to do something, (the water was less than an inch high) and he came back and she was face down in the water. He tried doing CPR, as he called me, and I got in the car right away, but she didn't wait until I got there. Her body spazed out, (i think she had a massive seizure in the bathtub, which caused her head to go under water) and she died in his arms.

I am numb and in shock. What if things had been different? I didn't get to hold her when she died. What if she had been with me?

At least she didn't die alone.

Run free sweet baby. I'll see you soon.

I am so very sorry about your little Daisy.  I know it is even extra difficult because you were not with her.  She was such a very beautiful girl.  I know you loved her very much, but remember she knew you loved her and loved you back.  Keep her memories strong and your love will never leave.  Again, I am so sorry to hear about your great loss.

    Sincere condolences for your loss.

Please don't blame yourself for not being there. It sounds like Daisy had a very good life even though she wasn't with you long enough.

    So sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry. Sad I really believe that even if you were there, there's nothing that you could have done to save her. Don't feel guilty. It was just her time. She knew she was loved.

    Run free, sweet Daisy.

I'm so sorry about your Daisy.  I am a firm believer that all dogs go to heaven....Daisy is up there now playing will all of her new friends and she will be there waiting for you when you finally get there.  I also believe that some dogs choose to be reincarnated and come back to you over and over again so maybe you will see Daisy again really soon, just watch for her....I see so much of our beloved Meka in our Pup Grizzlie bear that I am sure it is him and am so humbled by the thought that he would want to spend another life with us....Run Free Daisy girl!!!!

I had not seen your login for quite some time and I am sorry that this was the reason to see you again. Life is a risk and you can't be everywhere, all the time. And your love for her is never in doubt.

Run free, Daisy. There's plenty of good stuff to eat.
