Georgia's Summer Breeze

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    Georgia's Summer Breeze

It will be 5 months on December 30, since I kissed that soft little doggy tummy goodbye. Georgia's Summer Breeze went to the Rainbow Bridge on July 30, 2012. She had IMHA. She put up a brave fight for nearly two years. Because of the immuno-suppressant drugs, she contracted Aspergillosis which attacked her bones. She she died while we were visiting my family in California. She loved it there.
Summer was Diagnosed December 2010. She died from a secondary infection. She was my best friend, my heart. She was part of me. I have a peace knowing we will all be together again one day. The comfort I have, is that she had purpose. She fulfilled her purpose. She gave us strength and comfort through some very difficult times. She taught us the meaning of unconditional love. I will be forever grateful G-d entrusted this little soul to our keeping and care. I do not regret her for a moment. IMHA only robbed us of time---not of love.

Until we meet again, My Love
    (April 10th 2006-July 30th 2012)

There was certainly a special gathering of the IMHA dogs waiting to greet your sweet girl at the Bridge. Run free, Summer. (((hugs)))

A beautiful tribute for a beautiful girl.  I know you are already enjoying the meadows and springs.  Give my boy Shadow a snuggle for me.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure Summer had a wonderful life with you. Yes, I believe we will be with our beloved pets again. They are with us sometimes for such a brief moment in time, but we will never forget the love that we shared with them. RIP beautiful Summer.
