Wonderful people

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    Wonderful people

You guys are all just so wonderful.  I'm just crying away but appreciate all the threads regarding our loss of Casey.  All I can say is a great big Thank You.

While no thanks are needed... you are still very welcome.  There will come a day when you are the one comforting and sharing your story again.... and you will know how deeply it's appreciated.

It feels funny calling someone gramma who's not my gramma.[:D]

Anyway, most everyone here has had a pet go to the Bridge. Some, such as myself, have had a number of friends and family pass on, as well. We know the pain, we can't "fix it", be we can listen to your grief and, when you least expect it, make you smile. And smiles are infectious. First one, or two. Then you're breaking it out all over.

The grief process takes a while. As I like to put it, you don't get over it, but you do get on with it. Each scar we get marks an important life that was lost to us. At the end of our lives, we trade the scars in for a grand reunion.

Laura, you don't need to thank us.  But you're welcome.  We've all been where you are & know how you're hurting.  I can't speak for anyone else but it helps me to comfort someone who's been where I have.  ((HUGS))
