Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

[sm=banghead002.gif] I can't figure this darn thing out. I'm really not computer illiterate but this is sooooo hard. I feel like a dummy[X(]. Garage sale Saturday and out of time to work on it. Maybe you will get to see my girl sometime in the future, like 2010. LOL, I used photobucket and get the message that it is not supported when trying to place it as an avatar or just get a blank picture. Oh well, thanks all for your condolences.

I was able to click on the photobucket links you have in your post and see your photos.  I love the one of your pup flashing those pearly white "choppers!"  What a grin!  And it always melts my heart to see a cat and dog cuddling together.  Kind of like the lion and the lamb!

I totally understand your photo-posting frustration.  I really would like to share some photos of my special boy who's at the Bridge now, but I'm not patient enough to figure out how to do it on my own.  I'm new to a digital camera, and I'm not a quick study!

Thanks for sharing your favorite photos.

I see them. What a beauty!  How old was she?

She was 9 years old but at the end was acting 13. When she stopped greeting me at the door when I would come home I knew her time was up. Hip dysplasia is soooo frustrating. She was diagnosed at 26 months of age and despite our best efforts just continued to progressivly get worse. She was overweight also which really did not help. We tried diet food and swimming(best excercise for dogs with arthritis, hip dysplasia etc.) and the vet tested her for everything under the sun. Finally just figured it was a genetic problem (the weight) and gave up. Her last 4-5 months with us she got whatever she wanted to eat. I really should have put her to sleep sooner but was selfish and did not want to part with her.  Thank you for viewing her pictures. Her grin is burned into my heart. I miss her sooo much.

Thank you Tracy. I can't get the darn picture thingy to work for me. I would love to have one of those strips as my signature but forget it. I can't even get a picture under my name on the left hand side of the posts. Oh well, maybe when I'm 90 Ha.
