Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

     Hi everybody,

    The old Rainbow Bridge Welcoming Committee thread kept getting lost in the shuffle, and everybody had to go to the last page to keep up the updates, so I figured I'd start a new one. (Mods, if you have any changes or if you'd like me to do something different, please PM or email me)

     Sierra2002 started this a number of years ago, and I've taken over for her since she's been really busy, but it was her creation and her idea that has helped so many grieving owners know that their pets have so many best friends up there waiting for them until they can be reunited again! (Including myself, as I have my heart dog, Daisy, and my little puppy, Louie).

    Sierra, thank  you! 

     If anybody would like their pets to be included in the pic, please post it on this thread. The only thing I ask is the pic, that your pets' face to body ratio is proportionate (otherwise, when it gets resized and cropped, it slightly distorts the face, and I really don't want that!) if possible.

    Thank you so much!!  Billy did look *so* snazzy when he had a good hair cut!!  I'll have to get his groomer's email and send that to her!!  She'd love to see it!!  And Kee was the other one she groomed!  Thanks!!

    My Cody is the Chocolate Lab on the far right laying down...just under the horse.  Could you place Buddy right by her?  Tell me where I should send his picture.

     I will tell you though, I have a very busy weekend ahead of me. I have my cousin's wedding, and all of my extended family will be there, so it  may be Tuesday or Wednesday of next week before I can work on it.

    (I like to have a lot of time to sit down and do this. When I do it, I sit for a minute and kind of talk to the pup (or creature) that I'm making the picture of. Tell them to keep an eye over their owners and other household dogs (pets), and to tell them this pic will give their owners comfort that they're not alone up there, and they'll be reunited with their loved ones soon.)  Man, this is making me tear up typing this! LOL

     And I sure will put him with Cody. I'll put Buddy right next to Bonnie in that pic. That is the right chocolate lab, right?

     Dont' worry about it, stephanie. I resize them when I edit them. Max looks so happy in that pic!!

    Here's a picture of Buddy.

    I think Bonnie is the white Bichon right above Cody and just below the horse...yes?  I'd like Buddy laying close to Cody.
