I'm sorry you were left abandoned in your greatest hour of need and that you didn't stay long enough to have a name. It was obvious you had a lot of heart even when your body was saying "no more". I only had a couple of hours with you, but still, you touched my heart. If I could have done more for you I would have.
I hope my sweet Agnes met you at the Bridge. She was an old lady beagle mix who ended up in the same place as you, but she was luckier in that I could take her home and share almost 9 months with her. Agnes knew a great deal of love, not just from me, but from her forum aunties who rooted her on every step of the way. Many of those same aunties were praying for you last week, even if you didn't know it.
I hope you will wait with Agnes for me because the three of us, a beagly mix, a hound mix, and a crazy woman - we'll have lots of fun together.
