Triplet

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

Thank you everyone very, very much.  What a sad and emotional time.  I'm fine one minute, the next I'm crying.  I honestly don't know how I will make it thru this when its Willow.

Thank you!  Today was a little easier for both DH and I.  We are actually coming thru this a lot quicker than it seemed like we would at first.

I saw your post on FB/IDog but missed this one. I'm so sorry for your loss Lori. I was a complete mess for a few days after we had to let Buffy go. It got better with each day but there are still times when I get emotional thinking about her and missing her. (((Hugs)))

Lori, I'm just seeing this for the first time..I'm so sorry about your kitty. Its so hard loosing our pets,,,,and please...don't even think about Willow....we need to enjoy what we have when we have it.  Hard to do when our mind runs loose though... RIP Triplet!  Peace to you and your DH Lori!

Thank you Cathy and Dyan!  I picked up the ashes today.  That started me going again for hours.  But, I'm happy with what we did and the arrangements we made for him.  He was a feral stray that we took in 6 months ago.  So, I am happy to have him back and know that he didn't die a "stray".  I am still working thru how this all happened but I'll get there.  THANK YOU!

Lori, I am sorry for the sudden loss and the sorrow it is causing - but that you gave him a home, a name and love these last six months is so significant.  Take solace that he did not die a "stray," as you said, but a loved and loving member of your family.

Thank you so much.  I am so happy that he died "ours".  The difficult part for me is that I didn't get to say good-bye.  I watched him walk down our deck steps into our yard when I let him out, tail up high, and that was the last time I saw him.  It happened so quickly, I was too far away at work to make it home before he passed.

He liked to lay in the bathroom sink all the time.

Handsome boy!  What a great photo of him.

I know you wish you could have said goodbye, but all the other loving things you said to him in those 6 months were golden to him...

     Run free and easy, Triplet.
