The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

    I am so sorry for your loss!!  I sure hope you present the owner of those dogs with your vet bill.  Cry when you do it so they will feel as guilty as possible.

    I can't imagine what you are feeling right now. I am so very sorry for your loss. What a nighmare ! 

    The one consolation is that he left comforted by your presence; he knew you were there, caring for him; he knew you loved him and will love him forever.
