I have wanted this harness for ages but I was too cheap to pay full price
He is extremely hard to fit so I shy away from $$ experiments. This fit isn't perfect but it is better than any other harness we tried AND I don't think it will irritate his skin. He has little to no hair underneath and other harnesses have messed his skin up. This really looks a keeper
Bugsy seemed happy too, to not have anything on his neck or a restraining/irritating harness on.
Now keeping in mind I am cheap, this leash is very, very cool - especially for under $10. All our other leashes are short. He has a 4ft leather leash and a 2-3 ft extendable leash - neither of which I can tie around my waist. I do have a 20 ft training lead that we hike with but having tried to tie it around my waist and hold onto the excess its a pain in the butt. This leash has a buckle clip at the handle end so you 'wear' it and the loop is adjustable like the belt of a waist pack. It can be a plain old handle or around your waist or as they say a way to hitch you dog to something.
I figured I would check it out and likely return it - but no way this was sooo cool. Another bonus of the combo is that when I run with him he tends to grab the leash and try to make us go faster
but he couldn't do it with this.
He isn't a bad puller (I did try the leash around my waist on a beach trip when he was about 1 and thought I'd need back surgery afterwards), its very hard to describe but he is an active walker/runner as opposed to just sort of chilled out so you do get an upper body work out along the way. He is of course deer reactive which is a nightmare
