    favorite products??

I am curious about everyone#%92s favorite dog products.  If you had to chose your top few products you buy for your puppers…what are they and what do you like so much about them?

    My top two are:

    1) Dog poop bags (a fellow i-dogger recommended this brand to me). I love them because they are high quality, black (so you can#%92t see through), very reasonable (which is good because we go through close to 200 a month…) and I got my first order of 2000 in only 72 hours.

      Here is the link:   [linkhttp://www.dogpoopbags.com/index.asp]http://www.dogpoopbags.com/index.asp[/link]

    2) JJ never cleans his face after he eats so I am constantly cleaning the “crusties” off his muzzle. A do-it-yourself dog wash near me created a wonderful tearless, soap free shampoo that is made with blueberries. It works wonderfully and smells incredible and this is the first “soap” that the pups don#%92t seem to mind too much on their face.

Ok…your turn…what are your favorite products and why![:D]

As far as products that I buy on a regular basis? I really LOVE Cloud Star's bath products. We use Buddy Wash, Buddy Rinse, and Buddy Spritz. And, yup, I said "we". They smell fantastic, and work great on my hair, too[;)]

The treats that I like the best are Yummy Chummies salmon and potato treats. They're small, soft, and the dogs LOVE them!

As far as something that I'm not buying over and over, Lupine products are AWESOME. I love thier harnesses, collars, and leads. They have pretty patterns, offer a martingale, and have a lifetime guarantee. Their products are nylon, but they're better made than the nylon stuff you get in chains. They're thicker, and have sturdier hardware.

Oh, and to be a zealot with Kelly, Iceland Pure's stuff is fantastic. I buy the treats, oil, and packets of fish fairly regularly. The dogs have LOVED everything from there.

    Great idea for a thread!

    1.  I have to agree with the dog poop bags - I get the blue ones, but I'll have to try buying those black ones online :-)  I use old plastic grocery bags at home or at a friends house but on walks I like the convenience of them all rolled up and always available.

    2.  Soup bones / bully sticks - they keep my pup occupied for at least an hour and I don't think they are that bad for him.

    3.  Everlasting Treat Ball and the Busy Dog Ball - I put his breakfast and dinner in these and they take him at least 10 minutes to finish (as opposed to 45 seconds).  Also good to put harder to get items in there to keep him occupied for awhile.

    4.  Baby wipes to wipe the inside of his ears 1x/week.  I use some ear cleaner drops as well, but the wipes really get the gunk out of the crevices :-)

Of course, that's the first thing I was going to list. The treats, pate, and oil are staples around here.

    2) Jessies_mom recommended [linkhttp://www.petdiscounters.com/product.php?productid=1131015&cat=1032&page=]Tropiclean OxyMed Rinse[/link] and it's worked wonders on Boomer's problem skin and coat.

    3) Thanks to chewbecca for turning me on to [linkhttp://www.earthdog.com/allproducts.htm]Earthdog[/link]. Love love love their collars.

    My top items are:

    1. Natural Balance food rolls, to cut up for treats. They last forever and they're smelly.

    2. The kong, naturally.

    3. Marrow bones - she loves them.

Well, then, you might just LOVE the collar mania people, though, I'm SURE you've been exposed to their products since you post on the pit bull forums too. But just in case you haven't been exposed to them...[linkhttp://www.collarmania.com]here's the link to collar mania[/link]

1.Kelly got me into Bad Cuz balls. Ella won't play with much more and nothing lasts like the bad cuz balls.

2.I LOVE Timberwolf Organics products. I trust their products even if their customer service sucks.

3.Chlorhexiderm shampoo. Yes, it's expensive, but I'm glad my vet prescribed it for Ella because it works wonders on her skin.

    4. Bags on board.
That's about it. I can't think of anything else that I use for Ella, really.

This is totally why I wanted to start this thread...I love when I find out about products I never knew about  and several folks have turned me on to knew things...including collar mania!  I LOVE their collars Rebecca and am getting one for my step sons pit mix in the next few weeks.  I also picked out 2 martingales styles I want to order for Pru & JJ, but I just ordered them holiday collars from needlenose apparel (at only $15 each!!) so I am going to wait til January.

Kelly- Petco carries this line but I haven't seen this formula.  Do you order online or does a local store carry it?

    aw!
Can you link me to the collar you're ordering for your son's pit mix? The 2" collars, I think, work best for pits and the suede lining is really nice and gentle on their necks.
They're on a sell-freeze right now anyway, I think, because they're wanting to offer more ready-to-wear styles. Which will probably help them out because that'll be less they have to specialty make. Ella's was a pre-made collar. They are an excellent small business that has wonderful customer service.

Yes...I will let you know which ones we are looking at. I told my step daughter she could pick the pattern since she does most of the care for the dog and I DEFINATLEY want the 2 inch collar.  Right now she has a 2 inch martingale that we got her because the buckle kind was not working for her with training on walks. It didn't provide enough "feedback".  SO this martingales has been fantastic, but it is starting to fray...and I want to get a new one before it gets too bad.

    Good topic!

I love Outward Hounds Deluxe Bait Bag..it's awesome and handy. It has the metal slats at the opening so it opens and shuts like your grandmothers change purse used to. I can flip it open with my thumb, grab a treat and slap it shut with my hand all in a quick motion and nothing falls out when I bend over! It also has a pocket for a few smalls..I keep a couple poop bags, a clicker, a bandaid and some business cards in mine. I really disliked the "ball and treat" type with the draw string and belt clip that I had before.
    Here it is:

High Cascade's line of Emu oil products. I use several and I love all of them. I am absolutely addicted to their lip balm, I use the 4in1 shampoo on both my horse and dogs..and occasionally on my own hair =). The pure emu oil is great for wounds and skin. I also use it on my dogs nails after I dremel them. They also make a product called "What a Relief" and it is! I use it on my back when it's aching..which is most of the time because I have several buldging disks. It takes down inflamation and soothes. I learned about these products because of my dogs.

Absolutely Natural Grooming Aid Spray is something I don't think I could live without now. I now buy it by the gallon and refill my sprayer. It has so many uses. It is the first thing I grab for a wound. When my Poodle was attacked and had severe and deep puncture wounds in his neck I sprayed this directly into the wounds several times a day..they healed without infection from the inside out. My vet was impressed and now uses it as well. It works for weepy eyes and eye crud, when your dog rolled in something, threw up on something, pooped on something, bled on something. It is an enzymatic product and eats up bacteria so it works well on blood, puss, dirt, poop, urine..etc. I use it in my dogs mouths..it keeps their mouths healthy..I swear it prevents tartar and plaque build up..I have no proof..but they have none and their breath doesn't stink. I use it in my truck on the upholstery, in my house on curtains and carpet, in the wash when I am doing laundry..especially pet items or my husbands work clothes. I use it to clean my hermit crabs and bearded dragons tank glass and the tiles in the beardies tank..I can't use chemicals for that..this is safe and all natural and works. I use it to clean the coffee pot....the list goes on and on..I love this product.

Animal Apawthecary's Line of herbal tinctures..I use them alot.

Kongs Air Squeeky Tennis balls, Dooley would die if they ever ran out.

Best Ball and Teaser ball..these ar by far Witt's favorite toys that he can't destroy.

Pet ID Pockets..they slide on my dogs collars, keep their tags safe and quiet and are washable.

Bow Wow's and Meows Shampoo..I really favor the Rain and Oat-a-coat formulas. They smell great, do a wonderful job and leave their coats soft, sleek, and clean.

Of course the dogs would tell you Plato Salmon Strips and Pizzles.

Maisey- Pizzles are the same as bully sticks I am assuming...?  I have never seen these in a store do you buy online??

I love the treat bag!! I may have to get one to use with my stepsons dog for clicker training.

    Great suggestions everyone![:D]
