(Mods, feel free to move this wherever you want it)
I made a fake ticker at TickerFactory and BabyGaga, so this should work the same for both...
When you make your ticker, they will give you the "code" that you're supposed to add to your sig. Here's some code for my fake ticker (I've added spaces so that you can see the code and not the actual graphical output):
http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/d/4;10731;116/st/20070729/e/no+more+ticker+links%21%21/dt/-1/k/2c88/event.png ' border='0' />
The
part of the code refers to the image - the ticker itself. That URL is basically pointing back to the ticker site, which is generating a new image each day, depending on the date parameters you specified. The
part of the code is the link. So, to remove the clickable link and only keep the image, remove the tag and the ' target='_blank' title=' part of the code is the link. So, to remove the clickable link and only keep the image, remove the tag and the '> part of the code is the link. So, to remove the clickable link and only keep the image, remove the tag and the tag. For my example, I would be left with:
[img] http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/d/4;10731;116/st/20070729/e/no+more+ticker+links%21%21/dt/-1/k/2c88/event.png ' border='0' />
Which would look like (no linky!):
