I am going out later, to observe a conformation class I'll probably be taking with the puppy. Sorry to ditch you guys for a few hours on such a political day but I hope things stay settled and positive.
On a related note, DH and I just had a conversation about Obama fulfilling his promises, and how presidents (and our Prime Ministers too, not pickin' on ya) don't exactly have a great record there. I wouldn't say this in public areas because of the war it would start, but I think he WILL do what he says, and this for me is the only time when race has played into it. I think he's aware that if he doesn't live up to his promises, he'll not only be the first black president, but the last one. That's just always the way it goes with something groundbreaking, if it doesn't work it makes people gunshy about trying again.
Anyway, excuse my exhausted ramblings, I got about 3 hours sleep last night. Again sorry to ditch, I need to cook dinner and will be around while it's in the oven, then heading out.
