I've only read the first 2 pages of this, but it is really snarky, and where is the suggestion at?? That Mods should research the word first??

Even if they DID research the word, it woulds still be up tp the Mods interputation. I noticed on the thread that I started(the 'sex thread';) I personaly didn't get red ink(I dont think I did anyway) but others did, I still got suspended for it, and the people that did get the ink, I'm not sure what happened to them.

If you want the Mods to listen to your suggestions and take you seriously, be respectful to everyone and don't get so dang snarky.

The little red merle Aussie is my Sequoyah.  Her playmate is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named MowMow.   Unlike Sequoyah, MowMow may be headed for a career as a therapy dog.

I knew that was Sequoyah....could recognize her by her red hair...hehehehe Although I had never seen her I knew she was red...my favorite!

I love the reds, too, but could easily do any of the Aussie colors - love the breed for other reasons, too, as you know.  Sioux looks like a self red from far away, but she's really a tri with very little white.  I used to think she was dark, but when Sequoyah showed up with that dark liver red merle that was really dark. You don't find it on the show dogs, and lots of people ask me what breed she is because they've never seen it at all up here.  She's definitely not a show type (yes, I know she has fiddle legs - but her ancestors were all sound, so I couldn't leave her there even after seeing them - my bad and my good)  MowMow was purchased from a breeder who may not have been as reputable as her mom thought (this is a really good owner, learning all the time, but a newbie when she got this pup, so the "not to breed standard" doesn't surprise me).  She's a good pup, though, very well socialized to both peeps and pups.

I, too, was suspended regarding the other thread in question. Yes there is censorship and it doesn't matter if I think I was not out of line. Mods and admin have complete control and it is a privately owned board. It's a social scene and one must fit in with the PTB. That is, I have no complaints about that.  There's always a possibility in the future that I could get edited or suspended again for stepping over the line in ways I had not imagined and if I were to be banned, I would go elsewhere. Sometimes we fit in, sometimes we don't.

But I like it here and I certainly learned a few rules, now. And I don't purposefully set out to find the envelope.

Was red-inking the evangelism reference censoring an opinion, even if I thought the opinion was wrong? Maybe so. And that's life. I'm not going to worry about it. I just try and watch how I phrase something and get my point across without offending, if possible. And stay away from nudge-nudge-wink-wink threads.

I didn't get the impression you or anyone else ticketed the use of the word. And, I did not see any red ink regarding your post when your comments were removed. Your comment was not out of line, but I did not respond as to not get into a word definition debate and derail the thread.

I will rarely ticket a post these days. The board has come along way from the more troubled times and is rolling along very well. I will ticket a post if the comments being made are racist, sexist, vile, nasty, personal, blatent baiting, clearly meant to drag the thread off topic, a direct attack on another member, or childish name-calling.

Most of the time I find it easier to simply ignore folks when they lose their manners or resort to interrogations rather than discussion. Although, I've never used the actual "ignore" feature because I figure everyone has something to share which is worth learning.

Yes, there will be a certain amount of censorship on most boards. Boards are not democracies and those who run them are only human.

Yes, there will be a certain amount of censorship on most boards. Boards are not democracies and those who run them are only human. 

And that was certainly my point, as well. I didn't want to seem non-chalant. I just accept that there are limits and, as with any private forum, we are here by the grace they who own the board, and those who administrate it.

As David Lee Roth sang, "You've got roll with the punches to get to what's real ..."
