Is Bonita on something?

 I have no idea.  And in maremmas, the males are quite significantly bigger than the femals anyway, and there are almost never problems birthing.  Look here if you like.  The small one is Brezza - she's the mother of the GIGANTIC dog next to her, Cafiero.  (Cafiero is the sire of Talascio, the hopeful sire to my puppy.)  Brezza has never had any issues giving birth.

That whole egg thing, anyway...yeah she must be on something LOL.  

And I stand by what I said in the thread - sometimes dual siring is necessary to save a breed.  And FWIW, I don't know how she manages to make a distinction between dual-siring being "unnatural" and that "if a breeding doesn't take it wasn't meant to" and muzzling a bitch who would shred a male that tried to mount her.  How is a bitch who will stand for TWO males less natural than a bitch who won't stand for any male without intervention?

I mean SHEESH...you use one stud the first day...the second the day after...or you skip days. It ends up being MAYBE one extra breeding than would otherwise take place LOL. It's actually LESS actual breeding if AI is used...

And although I was telling the truth about it not being Maremmas that I know of where this has been used to help save the breed here....Jacqui did actually consider doing it THIS time with Vienna.  She changed her mind and is approaching things from another direction, as it happens, but she had very, very valid reasons for considering dual siring as an option.  I may send her a link to this thread, she can read it after she throws the dogs into the garage to have at each other unsupervised.  *eyeroll*

 Yeah, no kidding.  I don't even know what to say, I'm honestly speechless.  She seems to actually think that dual-siring is akin to a bitch being gang raped in the street.  That's just so....insulting to anyone who uses the practice for valid reasons. 

If someone with more restraint can go look at her response to me and let me know...I am afraid if I look it will annoy me to the point of well...erm...ya know...

I just curled up in bed with two tired dogs after a long soak in the tub (me, not the dogs) with a screw driver (again me, not the dogs. I go for the hard stuff... SLURP.) and turned on the tv to find LOTR's on... I said "SWEET!" and then looked in here.  Apparently we are having a creepy moment, or are all the mods doing this tonight? :o)

Studs do exist... or so I keep telling myself and hoping. See, I'm a caffeine addict, so that'd be OK, but I got my grunge on in the 90's and have happily moved on to yuppie-dom.  Like seeks like and I'm finding that in my old age I've gotten picky.  I find most of the eligible bachelors completely undatable for one reason or another.  I'd rather be single than put up with their BS... I hope not to be an old spinstress, but if that's what the dice roll, well there it is.  I like my freedom and my dogs and my life and the guys i've recently dated have all driven me batty.

I don't wanna sound down about it, cause I'm not.  I'm really OK with where I am.  But, in a perfect world there would be a hot, wonderful guy who wants to hunt/show/breed weims and still has a soft spot for my little Nikki.... ahhhhhh.... there is no 'settling' for me, I know what i want.  Let's see if he exists.

I gotta agree with Gina on this one, Lan.   Men are only good for a couple of things and life is muuuuch easier when you leave them to worry about what their next meal is going to be, when they are next gonna get some lovin' and how to get their hands on the latest video game.  Those will occupy their 3 brain cells, leaving you free to do your thing.
