Thank you for the chuckle Wink

I'm glad you had a nice time and the great industrial city treated you well!  Where did you stay?

The Ibis just off Quay Street?  Or was it ON Quay Street?  I forget.  There was a Novotel nearby....I barely registered the hotel...I was only there to see the wonderful, incredible, awe-inspiring LEGEND that is Leonard Cohen, perform at the Opera House.

I must ask if you resisted slitting your wrists during Suzanne?  Dh has a couple of CD's of his and I find that song veeeeeeeeeeeerrrryyyyyyyyyyyyy depressing!  Oh I believe the Ibis is very nice :- )

    DH is now envious!

Hahahaha I have resisted slitting my wrists to that song for many, many years LOL.  It's not actually depressing, the idea that his music IS depressing is a bit of a myth......complex, certainly, but more often about hope and love triumphing over despair than anything else.  Still, I get that a lot of people think he is just from his trademark sound.  My cousins asked me the same question once LOL.

It was like being at a Tom Jones concert or something LOL....a lot of grown women...ok, actually elderly women.....acting in ways that should have made them ashamed of themselves.  I just sat there and sang under my breath...there aren't going to be a lot of people my age who can claim, later, to have seen him live.  It was the first tour he's done in 10 or 15 years, and I believe he's 75 now, I doubt there will be many more, if any at all.
