heavily...lol. This is between you ladies here, me and the wall mmkay?
I bred a 13" dog who's doing rather well as a Special. I have no ties to him aside from being his breeder. He is Top Ten ranked as of now, I think. I am also friends with a judge...we co owned Nonnie, I own her outright now, tho. Nice lady...elderly and particular, but nice.
Of COURSE you know the 2 met up at a show this weekend and she emailed me that I needed to speak with the owner's because the dog had been DYED quite obviously and badly. *oY* She didn't DQ him because nothing came off on her hands but she thought about it...
Not uncommon, much to the Beagler's shame...faded out saddles on Tri's are often dyed "blacker". But apparently this was too much even for a breeder-judged who knows the practice. She took the Jr aside and nicely asked about it and the Jr said her mother had done the job. Judge was nice to the Jr because well, she's just a kid.
Now I emailed the former owner who gave outright ownership of the dog to this Jr only recently as a present/gift because they work just like dynamite together. She said she's been out of the country for a month or so and would remedy the situation ASAP....she thanked me for the heads up. So at least that went well, LOL.
But...seriously...THIS kind of stuff just wears out my happy thoughts. It is SO lame to dye a friggin' dog...I know worse goes on but...
lawd...have...mercy.
