I'm leaving, at least for the time being.

I came originally to this forum to help people who were having problems with things I've had some experience with, and also to get help for things I have trouble with. It's been a very long time since I've engaged in either of those two things, so I think it's time for me to step away.

I've written and deleted this post several times, but I've always said I wouldn't do the "Goodbye Cruel Community" flounce post, so I won't.

I'll keep my account open and will be able to receive PMs.

I hope you reconsider about not posting. Jokes aside, you are an amazing contributor here and we'll all be poorer for not having you active. Maybe a break, and then a return?

I've got a lot of respect for you and the wonderful life you have provided to your dogs! Hopefully there can be times you can continue to help others out because you've got some great insight.

I've found that in an argument sometimes the most obnoxious poster is the one that appears to "win", at least to those in the heat of it. But, sometimes you forget about the lurkers (and regulars who read these threads without posting)... and that a voice of reason reaches far more than the person who can be the most foul without being red inked. And that voice of reason may have far more impact that otherwise thought.

Take a few days off... but, don't forget to come back.

Others said what I want to say and likely said it better. I have always enjoyed your sense of humor and outlook on life Cressida. It is amazing how we can let a handful of individuals get to us though.. and I feel ya. Sometimes certain aspects in our life require a break but I hope that a “break” is all that it will be for you. Take care of yourself and those two lovely hounds!
