So here's my .02 cents...the disclaimer rule is rather difficult. I agree.
I think that instead it should be solely at Mod/Admin discretion to allow, or not allow links posted in threads absent of any input from the original poster of the link. IOW removing it not or even adding a note ourselves should be at our discretion, and not subject to question or discussion.
In particular spamming of links should not be allowed...and spamming described as "frequent posting of links sans any explanation or relevant input to the thread they are posted in".
This obviously exempts people like Janet Rose who always post links with some sort of input....and Anne too who does the same...and includes people like espencer who often post NOTHING but the links because they themselves have not ever tried or used them.
