Blogging Tips & Tricks (will be moved in a few days to "Our Forum/Our Community";)
Please feel free to post anything you have found re: blogging at this site, easier and more fun to do! Here are a couple to start us off...
COMMENTS & RATINGS: You...the blogger control "if" and "how" comments on your blog get posted.When you make a blog post...check off the box that says "ADVANCED OPTIONS" in the left upperhand corner. This will activate a tab bearing the same name where you can make all sorts of decisions on who, if anyone is allowed to post comments or rate your blog. There are numerous handy tools there for making sure your blog is what YOU want it to be, rather than what some unkind commentator might want to make it.
Editing Your Blog: You can go here, Control Panel to maintain your blog, and other things, too! Clicking the MY BLOG link at the top will bring you to a screen where you can review comments (see if any are waiting for approval if you moderate comments, delete comments you don't want, etc). You can also write a whole new blog post from here, too. Many other things can be done from this page so spend some time there playing around!
Blogging is NOT: A place to advertise...litters or dogs for sale, businesses run for personal gain, services offered for personal gain, links to off site URL's that offer said same, etc. Such blogs will be edited or deleted by staff. As always rescues and dog related charities are always welcome to post about dogs needing homes, auctions/raffles etc benefitting dogs or animals in need, etc. All the same rules apply in blogs, as in posts at this forum.
