What's with the LC situation?

It was different earlier in the day.  I just deleted the post, as Kate said we would do.  Have deleted Ixas twice now today for inappropriate signature....surprised she hasn't gotten the message yet.  Too bad I had to delete that particular post of Losts....it was actually a nice one.

Uh oh Glenda...I read that bit much differently than removing the whole post....I read it as the sig will be removed FOR the member (by Admin) same as inappropriate content would be...not necessarily the whole post. I hope I am wrong lol...cuz LC will poop kittens otherwise!

Oh SPIT!  Well, see, I took it to mean that the entire post would be deleted.  WE can't change the sigs, only Admn is able to do that.  And I haven't heard a thing, nor seen anything in the reports.  I started deleting last nite.  So far have deleted two of each of those lovely folks posts.

A signature is part of every post made, and there will no longer be a distinction between signatures and posts.  If a signature contains material that should not be there, there will be no request from a member of staff to remove it.  It will be removed and the member in question contacted afterwards.  

OK, I see where you are coming from, Gina.  I'm still sincerely hoping that I didn't misinterpret this one, but if I need to apologize, publicly, I will.  We're all entitled to screw up once in awhile.

It just means that we don't, as a rule, contact people before editing their posts...and I will not, now, contact people before editing their sigs.  The rules on advertising in them have been around for a while, and the people using them to fight wars have lost the privilege of me writing to them first.  

I am waiting to hear back re: suspending LC.  But his sig will go in the morning.  I can't look at the screen for too long right now, was just checking in to make sure things weren't exploding.

Are we supposed to notify?  Come to think of it, I went in and deleted a post that you suggested I delete, of my own, and I DID get a notification, so apparently the system does work, at least some of the time.

And I see that the sig is back yet again.

I've not seen Kate around this morning.  I suspect that the migraine won.
