    What a lying...

For completeness' sake, here is the PM I sent to Ixas yesterday:

     Ixas_girl,

You are not required to like any of the staff here, and you have in your way made it abundantly clear that you have a problem with the majority of us.  That's fine, and doesn't bother any of us in the slightest.  The only thing you are required to do is respect the fact that we are the staff here and we do the best we can.  Given that you voluntarily resigned your position as Moderator (after, I notice, removing some of the nastier comments you made to us in the Mods Den), repeated suggestions that you were somehow better at it are really bad form - and that's even assuming that it's true.

It has escaped no one's notice that the majority of threads you have participated in or started in recent weeks have been for the sole purpose of calling us out, and I question how that benefits anybody.  I'd like to remind you that when mistakes are made I do my utmost to remedy them - within minutes, as you will hopefully recall.  We are open to suggestions on how to make the forum a better place and have no problem with someone making us aware that we have erred in some way, but there is a big difference between that and making a concerted effort to make us, and this forum, look bad. You point out what you perceive as divisiveness and bias, while pretending not to realise that you are guilty of those very things yourself.  While clever, the innocent act isn't fooling anyone.

Without putting too fine a point on it, you know where the door is.  Since you dislike this forum and how it is run, you are welcome to stop posting and take your knowledge elsewhere - to your own forum, for example.  I can assure you, though, that if you continue to stir the pot in the way you have been since your resignation, the decision will be made for you.   Staff here do a time consuming job for no reason other than the love of the community, and we will take any necessary steps to ensure that the environment remains pleasant for the majority.

You claim that we are losing members.  That may or may not be true, but the loss of members who would rather simply leave than make an effort to reverse some "trend", real or imagined, are making the choice that is best for them, and who are we to question it?  Our job here is to make the forum as pleasant as possible for the members who are posting, not to hold people here who have decided that this place is not for them.  Members have their own part to play in making a community what they want it to be.  Forums gain and lose members daily, and if we try too hard to tailor things to the membership on any given day, we can be sure that the next day or week or month will bring a wave of members who do not like the way it is, and the process begins again.  Far better to maintain, as much as possible, an air of civility and helpfulness, and to let the rest of the chips fall where they may.

    Kind regards,

    Benedict - Dog.community Administator

And here is her reply to me....

You gotta be kidding. A few days ago, Glenda ditched two of my posts. I didn't rub her nose in it. I didn't send you nasty hate mail. All I did was factually report what happened. Is that really consistent with someone who's "out for you?" Think about it. If you want to scold someone for petty revengey feelings, look at, Bevo/Xerxes/Gina/Glenda's posts to me. When Bevo dredged up old history about a post of hers that was deleted by me, I didn't come back and say "oh yeah, well Glenda wiped out 2 of mine just yesterday."

Cripes, I publicly thanked you for your response to my suggestion about the linking suggestions. That's not nice enough for you? I thanked Gina for responding to me, even though her post was snotty.

Regarding the nature of my recent posts, you are wrong. "Most of my recent posts" have been about positive and other training issues, in fact my last 2 posts described OC and gave a link.

I don't give a fig if you like me, never did. I also don't much care how you mods and your pals mischaracterize me. I'm doing a pretty darned good job of following the vague rules here, in spite of the venom spit at me. If you need to have a forum populated with people you like ... go ahead, make it so. If you don't want forum feedback, make it your policy. Go ahead, decide.

Now let's break down her reply, shall we?

You gotta be kidding. A few days ago, Glenda ditched two of my posts. I didn't rub her nose in it.

Yes she did, by quoting the edit notes line in the posts when she reposted them.

I didn't send you nasty hate mail. All I did was factually report what happened.

Although that has been her MO in the past, no it wasn't nasty.  She did, however, report the problem AFTER I had addressed it with her.

See above point...she made it clear to everyone that Glenda had done it already.

Cripes, I publicly thanked you for your response to my suggestion about the linking suggestions. That's not nice enough for you?

Only because she scored a point by getting me to change it at all.

I thanked Gina for responding to me, even though her post was snotty.

And her original post was snotty....every subsequent one was sarcastic.

Regarding the nature of my recent posts, you are wrong. "Most of my recent posts" have been about positive and other training issues, in fact my last 2 posts described OC and gave a link.

Ummm yeah...doesn't count if you read my note and then go and post 2 "normal" posts to make it look as if you're a contributing member.

We're spitting venom at HER?  Well alright then.  And it has nothing to do with populating a forum with people I like....there are plenty of people here I wouldn't choose to be in a room with for 10 minutes, I don't need to send them notes on a regular basis.

The number of my points she didn't address is incredibly telling.

I still maintain that if I deleted her posts, it was some sort of wierd accident.  And when I noticed them gone I immediately asked you for help.  So yeah, I was being hateful and vindictive towards her.

I think that there are plenty of folks on this forum that none of us would want to spend any quality time with, however, they don't cause the issues that she does.  Honestly?  Yes, I'd like to see her gone.  She stirs too much spit.

I'm wondering what to do with her latest abuse report??  I didnt' really see it as name calling but I may have blinders on when it comes to that one.

I think the best you can do Kate is forward this to Jaime and Jill and let them decide what happens next.  and in the meantime, we just continue to do our best to be fair and balanced.  She's a very maniupulative human being and she knows how to stir up trouble without ever stepping over the line herself.
