New feature - can you guys check it out?

LOL I just emailed Jill about this...wanted to make sure it was legit as it sounded spammy...lol. Sorry. I don't "do" myspace, too many crazies, but I'll check it out.

first impressions?

Wow..very different in tone than the forum...which I was kinda thinking was supposed to be family friendly.

I dunno...is this a personal page of one staff member? Or supposed to represent the entire staff of dog.com? It's not quite as professional an image but might appeal to some young people...I guess.

I am a bit confused by it truth be told....very diametrically opposed to the forum itself.

Its actually meant to be different & appeal to a younger audience.

 It does represent the company & its more young/trendy side. We are hoping to capture more of that demographic as well as introduce some of our other customers to the new trends of society
 

Well if I may be honest?

I wish you the best with it, but I hope that younger demographic does not infilitrate this forum too much....because I am on forums with large teen/YA populations and they are well...difficult. Summer around here is extremely rough when the trolls and game players get on and I can see this encouraging it year around.

Let's hope not. I can see the business value but as far as value to the forum itself...that's something different. Again I hope you dont' mind my honesty here but I love this forum because it is a mature place to be, I don't want it turning into myspace, personally.
