In the food for thought thread. Luvntzus reported a post, but there was some other stuff that I thought was better gone too. Sooner made a post not about food but about who she thought was starting it all (I think, it wasn't clear but it was definitely off topic and not intended nicely)...Edie quoted her saying the only person she could think of was someone who feeds a food beginning with "A". cc431 responded with a long post starting with "you are all nuts" and ending with some crack about how if the trolls all leave now that he is posting again people will have a new conspiracy theory to ponder.

I posted a general warning basically telling them to stay on topic and not to rise to any bait.

Kate, if you edited, I'm sure it was needed. I'll go take a look, but this thread has been getting touchy for the past few pages anyway. Am glad that they know we're still watching.

I just went in and deleted his nazi cracks. I'm sure that there will be hell-o to pay now, but I think that we have to get tough on this nonsense of completely disrespecting mods.

This isn't some sort of power trip for me. This is MY forum,my community and I'd like to keep it nice. I suspect that both of you feel the same way. This isn't about "being able to" control things, this is about needing to control some behaviors for the good of the forum, and I strongly feel that when members are allowed to disrespect moderators we are on a slippery slope back to chaos.

I do agree we need to crack down on people disrespecting mods. Like it or not, WE are the ones devoting our time to policing this place...not them..and that deserves some respect. They don't have to like us, but they need to understand that abusing the mods won't get them anywhere. If they hate how this place is run so much, they know where the door is.

he and espencer have really been burrs under the old saddle this week. I think that ADMIN needs to post a statement regarding the disrespect and that includes the use of .:. after removing our red ink. Lostcoyote does that as well. And of course, Ixas_girl keeps things stirred up behind the scenes.

I never heard back from Jill so I don't know if anything was even said to her about abusing the Report Abuse function.

And, I'm tired of the whining that we didn't edit X, just me....poor pitiful me. When I need to edit someone who I'm not overly fond of, I try really hard to be fair and to take out anything that might be contributing to the problem as well. But, I am human, and sometimes I miss things.

I think I need more coffee and to get into a better mood................
