I don't pretend to be perfect...I make mistakes here and when I do I can rely on you guys to call me out on it...this is a team effort...but I have NEVER treated that woman unfairly as far as I can see.

Seriously...was my locking that thread "heavy handed"?  I specifically put in "temporarily" as a method of inducing some chill out time.   

I didn't think so.  I know that Jaime prefer that we not close threads, but the reality is that all of us have limited amounts of time to spend editing and if we do something, like say, sleep, things can really go south quickly.  espencer was looking to cause trouble.  He's got plenty of buddies ready to join in, primarily in defense of the great Cesar.  So, no, I don't think that closing that thread was unreasonable when no HELPFUL advice was being given and the OP had left the building.

As far as the CM thread?  I don't know.  I had intended to just ignore him, but Gina was probably wise to shut it down because I'm sure many others would not have ignored.  And then the poop starts flying.

YYYEAH that's what the report abuse function is for, not. I really hope Admin is done giving this person leash to crap all over this forum and the moderators.

Actually I think I'll put up something re: the report function right now.

I emailed Jill and asked her to address this.  I'm the only one she hasn't found to crap on and that's probably because I was watching the Red Sox game last nite!  But, I find her really to be an objectionable human being, so if I respond, it isn't likely to be kindly, no matter how hard I try.

 I just *love* that she dropped in to complain...didn't contribute any advice to any threads, didn't tell a joke to brighten up someone's Friday...just dropped in to slam us.  She's not even logged on anymore.

Had something all typed up then figured I'd wait to see what Admin has to say...it was nice tho..lol.

Nah....I can remember most of it.

Just basically stating that it's become apparent that some are using the Report Function as a toy for their amusement, to pick at other forum members, rather than it's intended function. I re-covered what that function actually is...then expressed sadness that some members here were unable to act maturely and use the function properly. Think I closed with people doing such running a risk of not having the forum available to them in future...and that being more a loss to them...than to the forum.

BTW, excuse my ignorance but what is a "snake choke"? 

The bigger problem is that she is tainting our members....those that actually LIKED the way she moderated, or those who think she has some redeeming qualities as a human being.  And, there isn't a darned thing we can do about that.  Even if she is banned, her influence will continue to some extent.

Remind me again why she was ever allowed to BE a moderator?
